February 2011 Update

Rotorua is balmy................ hard to believe but true!

I was mountain biking a few evenings back and it was so warm and pleasant.  We have had a really warm summer and the mountain biking is fantastic and the lakes are still warm enough to swim in apres riding!!!!  I had a mate of mine here from Wyoming - he was amazed at how great the biking was and how beautiful it is under the trees.

New Zealand Swim have had a two week training camp.  They loved the outdoor pool and the sunshine.  They also went mountain biking and had a swim in the Blue Lake.  We could not believe how hard Scott was training them but they all really enjoyed themselves and the laid back atmosphere.

Many American students have stayed. They are here to study at a New Zealand University.  We thought it was vital they learned some key "kiwi" things. Tiki from Haka World gave them a lesson and a moko. Malcolm taught them to play Touch Rugby.  Slightly different from American Football but they were great at it. They also rafted the Kaituna with " Katiuna Cascades".  Super on the river now too.

Plan your escape - get out and about and come and see us!

Cheers,

Treen
